1. Acceptance
Creating an account or using Rennsic in any way means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. The Disclaimer is part of these terms: it sets out what a report is, what it is not, and the limits of the registry behind it.
2. What Rennsic provides
VIN lookup reports covering rental-platform match status, trip count, market, listing period, and vehicle identity, sourced from publicly available or licensed listing data. Results reflect our dataset at the time of the search. A no-match result means the VIN was absent from our dataset on the report date. It is not a guarantee the vehicle was never rented anywhere.
3. Accounts and credits
Each new VIN lookup costs one credit and produces a report, match or no match. Credits from subscriptions and packs accumulate in one balance and roll over between cycles. Credits are non-refundable once consumed, with one exception: if the first credit you ever buy on this account is a single credit and the lookup it pays for returns no match, you may request a refund of that purchase within 7 days of the charge. The exception applies once per account, to that first single-credit purchase only, and never to a lookup that returned a match. You are responsible for the security of your credentials and API token.
4. Acceptable use
Rennsic is for lawful personal, commercial, and research use. You may not:
- Resell or redistribute lookup results as a standalone data product
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the underlying dataset
- Use the service to harass, stalk, or identify individuals
- Circumvent rate limits or credit accounting
- Use the API in violation of applicable law
5. Billing and cancellation
Subscriptions bill monthly or annually in advance. Cancel any time; access runs through the end of the paid period. No prorated refunds for unused time. Credit pack purchases are final. Believe a charge is an error? Contact us within 14 days.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
Rennsic is provided as is, with no express or implied warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Treat a report as one verified input in your evaluation, not the sole basis for a decision.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, Rennsic and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including purchase decisions made in reliance on lookup results.
8. Changes
These terms may change. Continued use after changes are posted is acceptance. Active subscribers are notified of material changes by email.
